Meet Up & Eat Up!

After being informed that she was one of four finalists, THS's Mahalia Hill was named Detroit Youth Poet Laureate on June 13th! For the next year, she will receive intense mentorship, will perform at many events across the state, and will facilitate workshops for youth writers. Amazingly, at the end of next year, she will publish a book of her work! Congratulate her if you see her - it's a big accomplishment and took a ton of work!
